In 1992 Jim Miller founded Global Trading Partners, Inc., a trade and purchase order financing company. Since inception, the company has financed thousands of domestic and international trade transactions and supported transactions from as small as five thousand dollars to in excess of one million dollars in funding requirements.
Jim formed the company for the purpose of providing transactional financing alternatives that didn’t currently exist to start-up, entrepreneurial, small and mid-size businesses.
Born in Seattle, Washington and raised in California, Jim has been associated with the banking and financing industry since graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Finance degree from Santa Clara University. Prior to founding Global Trading Partners, Jim was Vice President with US Bancorp’s wholly-owned subsidiary, US World Trade Corporation and Vice President of Union Bank of California.
Passionate about his family and community, Jim coaches his three sons in baseball and soccer and remains active as past president and board member of his North County San Diego community’s Little League and other community organizations. Outside of business and community interests, Jim and his wife Holly maintain an active travel schedule and enjoy visiting all places far and near their home in San Diego, California.
